SureFire EP3 Plugs

EP3 earplugs protect your hearing without interfering with your ability to hear routine sounds or conversations. Its dual-chamber design fits most people and provides a noise reduction rating (NRR) of 24dB.

Sounds, at safe levels, can pass into the ear canal, while potentially harmful noise (above 85dB) is reduced by a patented design that incorporates a special noise reduction filter. The EP3s include attached filter caps, which can be inserted for additional protection and block out lower level noise, such as that heard on an airplane, where listening to ambient sounds or conversations is not critical. Sonic Defenders are made from a soft yet durable hypoallergenic polymer that provides all-day comfort and long product life (up to 6+ months, depending on wear and care). Retaining rings secure earplugs in place, while smooth, adjustable double-flanged stems provide secure seals in ear canals. A low-profile design means the EP3s can be worn with a helmet or goggle and bundled with your phone or headset.

The EP3s also serve as headsets for SureFire hearing protection and other compatible radio communication systems by simply removing the noise-reducing filter and plugging the headset into the system.

NOTE: The EP3 headset will not provide hearing protection if the noise reduction filter is removed.
