CNP access requirements

In this post we are going to try to clarify all the doubts you have regarding access to the National Police Force, we will explain the studies you need, what they are like and how the physical tests are scored and much more. Remember that if you have any questions or suggestions, do not hesitate to write a comment!

The requirements to qualify for entry into the National Police Corps, Basic Scale are:

  • Have Spanish nationality.
  • Be 18 years old.
  • Have a minimum height of 1.65 meters for men and 1.60 for women.
  • Be in possession of a bachelor's degree or equivalent (academic requirement published in the BOE no. 180 of 07-29-2015).
  • Commitment to carry weapons and, where appropriate, to use them, which will be provided through a statement from the applicant.
  • Not having been convicted of an intentional crime or separated from the service of the State or the Autonomous, Local or Institutional Administration, or disqualified from the exercise of public functions.
  • Be in possession of a class B driving license at the time of submitting the request.
  • Not suffer from a physical defect or illness that disables them from performing the position, in accordance with the table of medical exclusions included in the Order of January 11, 1988.
  • Be in possession of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. ( click here to see the equivalences )

Those interested in applying for the positions reserved for TYM military, in addition to the aforementioned requirements, must meet and prove that they have five years of service at the time of submitting the request.

The opposition phase will consist of the following eliminatory tests: physical aptitude ( click here to see the physical tests ), knowledge, medical examination, personal and psychotechnical interview.

Opponents who pass the previous selection tests will join the National Police School (Ávila), where they will begin their training process, integrating into the career plan of the National Police.
